Backkoozie began as a simple family idea born from countless weekends spent outdoors, hiking mountains, biking through new trails, paddleboarding at sunrise, tailgating with friends, and gathering around campfires. During these adventures, one question kept coming up:
“Why isn’t there a comfortable, hands-free way to keep your drink with you everywhere you go?”
What started as a small sketch on a notepad turned into a family project that blended creativity, craftsmanship, and good old-fashioned problem-solving. Every member of the family played a part, brainstorming features, testing prototypes on real outings, and refining the design step by step. The spirit of collaboration and love for the outdoors became the heart of what Backkoozie would one day represent.
Instead of outsourcing, the family made a deliberate choice: Backkoozie would be fully crafted and designed in-house, ensuring every detail reflected their passion, pride, and commitment to quality. They built everything themselves, from the original patterns to the stitching to the packaging, because they believed exceptional products should be made with care, not shortcuts.
From their small workshop in America, each Backkoozie is hand-assembled, inspected, and shipped directly from their store, preserving the personal touch that so many modern brands have lost.
As the company grew, so did the ambition behind the product. The original Backkoozie was beloved, but the family didn’t stop there, they listened to customers, studied how people used it, and returned to the drawing board. This dedication led to Backkoozie Version 2: sleeker, stronger, more versatile, and capable of holding tall cans, standard cans, and more, making it the most adaptable hands-free beverage carrier yet.
